ThinkPad USB Keyboard With Trackpoint @ Design Matters 지금까지 써 본 노트북들은 (A20, T30, X41t, X61s) 모두 트랙포인트 (일명 '빨콩')만 있는 모델이다. 그래서 터치패드 있는 노트북들은 어색하고 불편하다. 이번에 레노보에서 새로 나온 트랙포인트만 있는 키보드는 트랙포인트와 터치패드가 같이 있는 '울트라나브'를 가격이나 기능면에서 부담스러워 하는 사람들을 위한, 혹은 '빨콩빠'를 위한 키보드이다. 레노보 사이트에서 배송 합해서 50불 안되는 가격에 주문하고 기다리는 중.

Cote (Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Vol. 29, No. 5, 2000) 가을 아침은 과거의 단편적인 생각들을 문득 떠 올리게 한다. 다이어리에 "개체발생은 계통발생을 반복한다" 한 줄을 적고, "Ontogenesis recapitulates phylogenesis"를 구글에서 찾아 다시 적었다. 미드의 Coming of Age in Samoa (1928)을 읽어 보지 않았으나 "개체발생은 계통발생을 반복한다"에 집중헤서 살펴 보았다. 읽다보면 Stanley Hall을 언급하는데 이것도 잘 모르니 패스. 요컨대, 인간의 발달(Development)이 culturally specific 한 것인지 아니면 cuturallly universial 한 것인가? Development recapitulates evolution??? Development phase of adolescent recapitulating the the phase of emerging civilization???

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown 킨들 아니면 절대 아니 보았을 책이다. 잠자리에 갈때 보면 정확히 딱 2 페이지만 보면 잠 온다. 좋다. 킨들은 줄 그으면서 보면, 나중에 컴퓨터로 다시 볼 수 있으니 편하다. 클리핑한 것 중에 하나 The act of tattooing one’s skin was a transformative declaration of power, an announcement to the world: I am in control of my own flesh. The intoxicating feeling of control derived from physical transformation had addicted millions to flesh-altering practices . . . cosmetic surgery, body piercing, bodybuilding, and steroids . . . even bulimia and transgendering.
